Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 3, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sumext's websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Sumext provides software tools for accounting firms and their clients. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the legal entity operating Sumext. References to “you” include the organisation you represent and individuals using the Services on its behalf.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account. You may not use the Services in violation of law or in a way that harms others' rights or the security or integrity of the Services.

3. Subscriptions & fees

Paid plans are billed according to the pricing shown at checkout or in your agreement. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as described in our Refund Policy. Taxes may apply. We may change prices with reasonable notice where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to access data you are not authorised to view, interfering with the operation of the Services, reverse engineering except where permitted by law, or uploading unlawful or malicious content.

5. Your content & data

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to provide and improve the Services. You are responsible for obtaining any rights, consents, or notices required for personal data you submit, including data about your clients or contractors.

6. Third-party services

The Services may integrate with third parties (for example accounting or payment platforms). Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party products or for outages or changes they make.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sumext does not warrant that outputs (including AI-assisted features) will be error-free or suitable for any particular compliance outcome. You remain responsible for professional judgment, record-keeping, and regulatory obligations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if none, one hundred dollars), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, legal risk, or non-payment after notice where appropriate. Sections that by nature should survive will survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes may require additional notice or consent where required by law.

11. Contact

For questions about these Terms, contact us through the channels listed on your billing receipt or on the Sumext website. Contractor-specific flows may surface additional notices at the point of use.
